Tango Soccer Club was formed 7 years ago as an Independent team to foster a unique experience for its players and teams. This experience is based on a set of core values which include:

  • While soccer is a team sport, we realize players have individual strengths and weaknesses. We strive to put players in situations to capitalize on their strengths as well as work with them individually during and after practices on areas of improvement.

  • Tango emphasizes a team approach. Whether we win or lose, we focus on team accolades, accountability and improvement.
    
    
• Commitment to Direct and Constructive Feedback
  • We feel that the only way to improve as Players, Coaches and Parents is to give and accept direct constructive feedback. Fostering this environment allows the players to communicate openly with coaches and other players, Parents to share insight, and Coaches to help the teams improve.
    
    
• Commitment to Win
  • Tango is not interested in winning at all costs, however we feel it is important to teach the boys how to win. Just as important to us scoring more goals than the opponent, we emphasize demonstrating good sportsmanship in the process.
    
    
• Commitment to Honesty
  • Honesty has two components:
    • Honesty with ones self
    • Honesty with the Team and Coach
      
      
  • We encourage the players not to make excuses when receiving feedback. In this way, they learn to be honest with themselves and create room for growth. Additionally, we expect players to be honest with their peers and coaches under all circumstances.
